Argentina: From Patagonia to the big city

I traveled to Patagonia for the first time in 2021, where we managed to complete the W Trek from Torres del Paine despite many lingering Covid restrictions and tests. The missing piece of the trip was a visit to Argentina’s Lake District to see the eastern side of the Andes Mountains.

So for this year’s holiday season, we decided to take our travels south again to revisit the Argentinian side of Patagonia. After a few days of outdoor exploration in Bariloche’s stunning natural spaces, we ventured to bustling Buenos Aires for an unforgettable New Year celebration. There, we spent magical late summer nights and soaked up the city’s vibrant atmosphere. We rounded off the trip by taking a ferry to Montevideo, where we were able to experience Uruguay’s beach culture and explore the old port town.
